How to use

  1. Drop in your raw TGA Excel file exactly as exported from the instrument — no pre-processing, no trimming, no manual normalization needed. Column A should be temperature (°C) and Column B the mass signal. Add several files at once to overlay samples.
  2. Adjust anything you like in the side panel: sample names, colors, grid lines, X-axis range, line width, or the normalization settings.
  3. Export: 300 DPI PNG for manuscripts, a standard PNG for slides and quick sharing, or the fully processed data back as an Excel file (with a summary table of Td5% / Td10% / residue per sample).

Raw data in, clean plot out — the messy start is handled for you

Real TGA runs rarely start clean: there is usually an initial moisture-drying / equilibration segment where the mass drifts below 100% before the actual heating ramp begins. You do not need to trim or correct any of this — the tool does it automatically:

  • Detects where the true heating ramp starts and discards the unstable drying/equilibration segment before it.
  • Re-normalizes the weight to 100% at a stabilized reference point (default 50°C = 30°C ramp start + 20°C offset; both adjustable in Settings), so early moisture loss doesn’t distort your curve.
  • Holds the curve flat at 100% before the reference point, so residual drift never shows up as a false early weight loss.
  • Finds Td5% and Td10% by interpolation and reads the residue at the final temperature — values are shown on the plot and listed in the side panel.
  • Places every label automatically so they never overlap each other, the curves, or the legend.

Everything it can do

Data
  • .xlsx / .xls / .csv input, multiple files at once
  • Automatic removal of the unstable initial segment
  • 100% normalization at an adjustable reference temperature
  • Automatic Td5%, Td10%, and residue determination
  • Built-in sample dataset to try instantly
Plot
  • Multi-sample overlay with per-sample color picker
  • Rename, hide/show, remove samples; clear all at once
  • Auto or manual X-axis maximum (800, 1000°C, ...)
  • Grid lines, line width, marker and label toggles
  • Smart label placement with leader lines
  • Publication style: boxed axes, Arial, legend auto-sized
Export
  • 300 DPI PNG (true DPI metadata embedded, 7.6×5.4 in) for journals
  • Standard-size PNG for slides and messages
  • Processed Excel: summary table + full-resolution normalized data per sample
